New Zealand Waterfall at Earnslaw Burn Track, Glenorchy
The Earnslaw Burn Track leads you all the way to the massiv mountain wall with lots of waterfalls that are coming out of a huge glacier. The top of it is Mount Earnslaw Burn. It is probably the most stunning single point view in New Zealand.
Photography Tips
Use a person and place it in front of the waterfall steam. It gives you a good contrast.
Travel Information
This 25,3 km out-and-back trail with around 887 meter of elevation is a challenging hike and requires a really good level of fitness. If you want to go until the end of the huge glacier wall you have to hike for around 32km in total.
Please don“t go alone on that track. Here are some tricky points where you need to think twice in which direction you need to go. The reason for this are some landslides, which partially changed the paths.
