New Zealand Lake Matheson Walk, Fox Glacier South

The Lake Matheson Walk is a beautiful smaller track around the reflection lakes with beautiful views to two of the highest peaks of New Zealand: Mount Tasman and Mount Cook.

Especially in the morning it is quiet and peaceful, during the day it is touristic and super crowded.

1. picture: Use the way back after sunrise for some nice shots on the way in still good nice light. It shows the beauty of this walk with nice views to the high mountains.

2 & 3 picture: Use the very first light and shoot some minimalistic shots with your tele-zoom lens from the highest peaks Mount Tasman and Mount Cook. Afterwards you can continue your way to the lakes.

This loop walk is very easy and accessible for all people and level of fitness. Next to the parking place is a delicious coffee place with good food. The view from the terrace is worth it for a break.
