Start Mt. Cook Village and take Hooker Valley Track. I would suggest navigating via AllTrails, even though all tracks are well marked.

Sefton Bivouac Track (name in AllTrails App) takes you to Sefton Bivouac - the oldest hut in the Aoraki/ Mount Cook National Park. The Bivouac is popular with climbers and provides 4 bunk beds. Prepare for an unmarked challenging route in the alpine environment with rocky terrain and no shade along the track It's a steep climb suitable for fit, experienced, and well-equipped trampers only. No booking or fees are required to stay at the bivouac - first come, first served.
