New Zealand Glacier rivers, Mount Cook National Park
In the Mount Cook National Park there are a lot of companies who are offering helicopter or airplane flights in the area. On your flight you fly up to the Tasman Valley and get a chance to see its blue glacier lake. You’ll also get a peek of the iconic Icefall and Mount Cook from above! Depending on your booking, you can land on the upper snowfields of the Tasman Glacier where you’ll have the chance to explore and take photos of the surroundings.
Photography Tips
Don´t use a wide angle or a zoom-lens. You just can do pictures out of a small window. If you are using one of those lenses, you might have to much reflection of the glas in your picture or not the space for a longer lens. Try to adjust your shutter speed at minimum 1/400 for sharp pictures. A helicopter is always in movement.
