Whatipu Beach is a beautifully located beach on the western tips out of Auckland. You find beautifully black sand beaches stretching along the shores.

Photography Tips

To have more depth in the frame, make sure to take some of the sand dunes into the frame. This will add some color as well which contrasts nice to the black sand beach.

Travel Information

Parking is for free close to the nearby campground. The walk down here will take you around 15 minutes, from where you can easily start your drone. Take care about the tides since they can push up quite hard.
