Opito Bay is a beautifully stretch of sandy beach on the North West side of the Coromandel peninsula. Long white sand beach walks and calm waters can be found here.

Photography Tips

Use the incoming tide and waves as a soft leading line when using a wide open shutter. Duck down and get the lens close to the water line. This will create a beautiful soft image.

Travel Information

Parking is for free along the beach. It's best to come here in the mornings since this is the most calm hours.
