Tapotupotu Beach is a small little beach with good surf and a nearby campground. It's a perfect hideaway after a long drive all the way up in Northland.

Photography Tips

Take some of the dunes into the frame to have more layers and not just the beach and water. If harsh light, you might wanna use an ND filter or Polarizing Filter.

Travel Information

The nearby campground is super pretty, directly at the beach. You need to pay on spot. The road to get there is a bit of an adventure since thats a gravel road. Just drive slow and you'll be good. It's the closest campground to the famous Cape Reinga!
