Iris Burn Hut is a modern backcountry hut nestled in a peaceful forest clearing beside the Iris Burn stream on the Kepler Track. Surrounded by lush native beech forest, it provides a tranquil overnight stop, with the beautiful Iris Burn Waterfall just a short walk away.

Travel Information

Iris Burn Hut is located approximately 30 km from the Kepler Track trailhead near Te Anau and is usually reached on the second day of the 3–4 day circuit. The hut is only accessible on foot and must be booked in advance during the Great Walk season.
