New Zealand Godley Hut and Glacial Lake

Godley Hut is a remote backcountry hut located in the spectacular Godley Valley at the northern end of Lake Tekapo. Surrounded by braided rivers, expansive tussock grasslands, and the snow-capped peaks of the Southern Alps, it serves as a base for hikers, climbers, and adventurers exploring one of New Zealand's most rugged alpine landscapes.

Also from the air, put your frame into thirds and place the hut in either one of the lines on the side since you want to give it some air to breath. This means: You want to show the viewer in what kind of pristine location that hut sits.

Getting here is not easy. There is no road leading there and you need to cross several rivers with a 4x4 car or hike all the way in. It took us 7 hours of off-road driving and then another 1,5 hours of hiking. Access is generally via Lilybank Road at the end of Lake Tekapo. If the river levels are too high, please turn around and dont get yourself in danger.
