Granada is an architectonically interesting town in Nicaragua, famous for its colonial architecture, mainly for its cathedral. This spot provides an unexpected view of that cathedral because it is from a higher viewpoint. You can walk to the top of the Iglesia La Merced Church and shoot the cathedral (and the rest of the town) from there.

Photography Tips

Experiment with the contrast of different colours. The cathedral and other colonial buildings are in bright warm colours, with the blue lake and sky in the background. If you want, you can have a look around and pick out interesting details (like the cross below you)
