Last week, I was at the opera and wanted to take some photos. One day, I was there in the morning at the golden hour, and there were security guards on site. I was able to take photos with a tripod. A few days later, I wanted to take photos in the evening at blue hour, and a security guard in uniform told me that it's strictly forbidden. I was not allowed to take any photos with or without a tripod. When I asked why all the other visitors were allowed to take photos with their smartphones, he said that's different; that weren't professional cameras...

I'm happy for you. Maybe it just got too much. There was also a couple there who were taking photos with the woman in front of the opera. Because the woman was wearing an sleeveless shirt, the security guard demanded her phone and deleted all the photos from her phone.
