There is photographic spot at the top of the mountain pass that looks in two directions. there are places to stop if you are driving but be aware it is a reasonably busy road.

Photography Tips

This spot was just down on the Salkantay side- and was in full fog at first and all of a sudden the clouds blew away momentarily. The point - be patient and the mountain can materialise. I've had this happen a few times now.
