Philippines Bilar Market

Bilar is a small, rural town on Bohol, quite near to the famous Chocolate Hills tourist spot. The market is Bilar isn't touristy, it's very much full of locals doing their shopping. It's a riot of colourful sights, sounds and smells, I really enjoyed just hanging out with the local people, they are very friendly.

Photography Tips

It's a classic busy market scene, with quite contrasty lighting, so less about widengle shots, more about picking our interesting details using focal lengths of 50-200mm

Travel Information

You can self-drive and park on street in the town or get your driver to stop off if you're doing a Chocolate Hills day trip, it's worth it!
