Portugal Teatro Ribeiragrandense

The Ribeira Grande Theatre began construction in 1920, operating from 1922 and being completed in 1933. Over the following decades, it became a true multipurpose performance venue in Ribeira Grande, hosting the most varied range of cultural events.
In 1988, it was acquired by the city council, which renovated and expanded it, making it a high-quality facility. The new complex was opened in 2000. The original building retains the layout of the concert hall and its façade, which is the most representative element, with a mixture of formal elements from various cultural and stylistic origins.
Yesterday, it was 25 years since the Theater was completely renovated.

Lots of culture, paintings alluding to the experiences of the Azorean people as well as those in the diaspora spread across the world. Many exhibitions throughout the year. Lots of people, especially tourists visiting the Azores. It is a mandatory stop to get to know Azorean culture up close.

There's not much to invent, the best way to get around São Miguel (or any other island in the Azores) is by car.
