Portugal Miradouro da Serpente do Medal

The Miradouro da Serpente do Medal (Serpente do Medal Viewpoint) is a high point where the Sabor River curves like a snake. It is located in the municipality of Mogadouro, in the heart of Northeast Trás-os-Montes, and offers panoramic views of the Sabor Lakes—a series of reservoirs created by the Baixo Sabor Dam, now distributed across three large bodies of water.

Whether you use a camera or a drone, any photograph will turn out fantastic. At the end of the day, the density of the light makes the photo more dramatic, but you need to bear in mind that you will have to make your way back afterwards.

The most common way to reach the Serpente do Medal viewpoint is via the village of Estevais, and the trail is about 5 km (one way).
