Portugal Espigueiros de Lindoso (Granaries of Lindoso)

This striking location features the largest concentration of traditional stone granaries (known as "espigueiros") in the Iberian Peninsula, with more than 60 granite structures clustered together on a communal threshing floor. Built mainly between the 17th and 18th centuries, these unique stilt-like structures were engineered to dry corn and protect harvests from rodents and moisture.
