Qatar Katara Cultural Village, Doha
Like so much of Doha, the cultural village is very modern with a well-planned and spacious layout. The Amphitheatre and even the coffee shops were closed, possibly because of Ramadan but the mosque was open. Galeries Lafayette on the edge of Katara Square is worth exploring when open. The street art, the pigeonnier, once a traditional means of capturing guano for crop fertilizer, are modern, as is the mosque beside it.
Photography Tips
If you’re going to try exploring this with a single lens, go wide-angle.
Security guards are not all sympathetic to photographers, so work fast and keep moving, just in case.

Travel Information
Taxi if you are not already exploring the area on foot. We found a passing taxi to get out of the area, via the business district, where the modern high-rise buildings can be seen from street level as you pass.
