At the end of the hook-shaped peninsula in Lake Razim (Lacul Razim), on a cliff, are the ruins of the oldest Greek city in Romania: Argamum Citadel (Cetatea Argamum). Over 1500 years ago, this was a trading centre on the Black Sea coast.
