One of the most recognisable pieces of architecturure in St Petersburg is the Cathedral of Savior on Blood.

The textures and detailes of the cathedral are completely outstanding.
I love that the atmosphere of the place is relaxing, there are usually street artists performing ethnic music from different countries here

Photography Tips

To be able to get the entire cathedral in the shot, you will for sure need a wide angle lens. I used my trusty Sony 16-35mm f4 and a tripod in order to get a solid long exposure shot. The place is popular with tourists

Travel Information

The metro station is Nevsky Prospekt. Then you will have to follow the river along Griboedov Channel wich is quiet a photography location on its own!
