Mangart pass and road are quite dramatic, if you like contre jour lighting.

Photography Tips

Most likely you will use a wide angle lens or stich a pano from several long lens pictures. Both have their challenges. With a wide angle lens you will need an item in the forground for interest and get as close as possible. Here watch out, as the drop off is sudden and steep, also the edge is eroded. Please don´t fall down!! If you stich a pano, you can use either Lightroom or the open source software Hugin.

Travel Information

There is parking at the top of the pass, however the road is not accessible from October to March, depending on the weather.
