South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands Mount Paget & Glacier, South Georgia
Mount Paget is the highest peak on South Georgia, rising to about 2,935 meters and dominating the rugged, glaciated landscape of the island. Located in the remote Allardyce Range, it is rarely climbed due to extreme weather, crevasses, and its isolation in the Southern Ocean. The mountain is often shrouded in clouds, adding to its dramatic and almost untouched Antarctic character.
