Suncheon Bay Nature Reserve is one of South Korea's most treasured wetlands, renowned for its unique ecosystem and striking beauty. Spanning over 30 square kilometers, it is comprised of vast fields of golden reeds, salt marshes, and mudflats. These habitats provide refuge for a wide variety of species, including migratory birds. Visitors can explore the reserve via wooden walkways that wind through the reeds, offering a close-up view of the local wildlife. The Yongsan Observatory, located on a nearby hill, offers spectacular panoramic views of the entire bay. A superb effort at wetland preservation and education, it is a must-see for anyone visiting the area.
