In the south of the island there are meter-high sand dunes, which should definitely be visited to linger and enjoy. In addition, this can be easily combined with a day at the beach, which is directly behind the dunes.

Photography Tips

At sunrise there are almost no other people there. In the evening it gets very crowded. I also recommend walking far into the dunes so that you don't find any footprints and have peace of mind from other people. Please make sure that you can show a drone driver's license and obtain a permit.

Travel Information

You will find a parking space directly at the entrance to the dunes which are the most southern part of Gran Canaria. To get to the quiet unvisited spots, I would allow an hour.
