One of the main "must have" photos while traveling in Madrid - to the left a Cathedral to the right the Palace.

Photography Tips

Packed with people during the day, though around sunset the plaza starts to clear out. Across the street there's a steep hillside where couples tend to camp out on picnic blankets and watch the sunset. Of course, a few other photographers also camp out with their tripods. Pick a spot along the hill and you'll be able to shoot over people and cars passing by.

Travel Information

Walking only - plenty of taxi service to get dropped off. While it's very busy, camp on the hillside to stay away from the crowds. It's also located next to the Palace so there's ample police presence in the area so you should feel safe.
