The castle of Aunqueospese ("Castillo de Aunqueospese") in the province of Ávila in Spain is an incredible castle for milky way photography during summer and winter.

Photography Tips

It´s a cold and windy place, take a coat with you. Very cold in winter (you are close to the "Sierra de Gredos" mountains).

Travel Information

Take the sand road to the castle, but be aware that unless you have a 4x4 car, you will have to park for around 20 minutes away that you have to walk to the castle.

The castle is closed and you can't go inside.
