The Risco de la Mérica is a towering peak above the beaches of Valle Gran Rey in the southwestern part of La Gomera. Not just the cliff but also the fact of a single "Sabina-tree" right at the edge offers several beautiful shooting options.

Photography Tips

Check the local and actual drone regulations before flying. Make sure to go for sunset as it offers spectacular light when the sun sets in the open ocean. You don't particularly need the panorama option. Normal photos are mostly fine.

Travel Information

The hike follows along old farmers paths until the cliff summit. The hike in total will take you around 1:30h. You will need to "climb" around 150m in height before the path leads you down another around 200m in height.
