Spain Mirador des Vedra

This viewpoint offers a stunning panoramic look at Es Vedrà, the iconic rocky islet off the southwest coast of Ibiza. Rising dramatically from the deep blue Mediterranean, Es Vedrà has a mysterious, magnetic presence that’s captivated visitors for centuries. The contrast of rugged cliffs, turquoise shallows, and open sea makes this one of Ibiza’s most photogenic natural landmarks.

The golden hour before sunset provides the best light, casting warm tones on the rock and sea. A wide-angle lens captures the full vista, while a telephoto can isolate Es Vedrà for a more dramatic composition. Bring a tripod if you’re aiming for long exposures or time-lapses. The viewpoint can get busy, so arrive early for an unobstructed shot.

The most popular viewpoint is accessed via a short walk from the parking area near Torre des Savinar. The dirt path is uneven but manageable with good footwear. No permits are needed, and there are no facilities on-site, so bring water and sun protection. Plan ahead, as cell reception can be spotty.
