Spain Panoramic view of the city of Almería from the Port Tower

From the tower of the Maritime Captaincy of the Port of Almería, you can capture a completely unique view of the city of Almería. This image is taken overlooking the Cable Inglés, the marina, and the new city. Standing on the other side, you can see the old city, the citadel, and the port. The city has numerous viewpoints from which you can capture panoramic views with the sea in the background. This, along with the lighthouse, are the only locations that allow you to capture the city skyline from the sea.

To access the tower, you must request a special permit at the Port Authority offices, which are very close to the tower, right at the port entrance.
The evening blue hour is the best time to capture a panoramic view of the city at its best.
A 24-70mm zoom lens is recommended. It captures almost all possibilities.
A tripod is essential.
The distance doesn't make a panoramic stitch of several photos essential. But if you want to take a high-resolution image, it is highly recommended.

The port parking lot is located at the foot of the tower. From there, you can walk to Nicolás Salmerón Park, Paseo de Almería, the historic train station, Rambla de Almería, and almost all of the city's interesting photo locations are within walking distance.
