Spain Castell de Maús (drone)
The castle of Mauz, located in the municipality of Sueras (Province of Castellón, Spain), is of Arab origin like the rest of those in the mountain range and was built in the 12th century.
It is located at the summit of Suera Alta hill at an altitude of 582 meters.
The castle is in ruins, but its abrupt silhouette is one of the most striking of the castles in Espadán. Large sections of the walls and the lower part of what must have been the main tower are still visible.

Travel Information
To reach the castle, you must cross the town via the road that leads to Ayódar. Once past the town and before crossing the river at the edge of town, take a track to the left that leads along the right bank of the Castro ravine. Continue along this track until you reach the spring of the same name, and from there, follow the track above it to reach the peak. It can also be accessed from a path located shortly before reaching Suera Alta.
