Spain Castell de Cap Roig
The Castell de Cap Roig is a historic fortress located on a rocky promontory along the Mediterranean coast in Catalonia, Spain. Overlooking the surrounding cliffs and coves, the castle forms part of the Cap Roig headland, an area known for its striking red-hued rock formations and scenic coastal landscapes. Originally constructed for defensive purposes, the structure reflects traditional Mediterranean military architecture, adapted to the rugged terrain. Today, the site is closely associated with the nearby Cap Roig Botanical Garden, which enhances its cultural and natural significance.
