Spain Puerto de Cotefablo
Cotefablo Pass is a scenic mountain viewpoint in the Aragonese Pyrenees, between Biescas and Broto, offering wide views over forested valleys, snowy peaks and layered mountain ridges. It is especially beautiful at sunrise or sunset, when low clouds and temperature inversions can create a dramatic sea of clouds below the surrounding summits.
In winter, the area can look particularly atmospheric after snowfall, with dark pine forests, white mountain slopes and pastel light over the Pyrenees. It is an accessible spot by road, making it a good option for landscape photography without requiring a long hike, although weather and road conditions can change quickly in winter.

Photography Tips
Sunset is usually the strongest option here, especially when the clouds sit low in the valleys and the last warm light hits the snow-covered peaks. Sunrise can also work well, but the orientation and light will depend on the exact viewpoint you choose along the pass.
