Spain Plaza Mayor, León
Plaza Mayor is a historic public square in the old town of León, in the autonomous community of Castile and León, Spain. It occupies the site of an important medieval marketplace near the Church of San Martín. The present square was constructed during the second half of the 17th century following a major fire that destroyed much of the earlier market area in 1654, with the reconstruction largely completed in 1677.
