This is a nice and very easy accessible wildlife spot at the Costa Brava Coast around the village of L'Estartit. There is a wildlife hide at a lake

Photography Tips

I recommend early morning light for soft light and backlit photos. Also the birds are more active. I found mostly herons and egrets. Night heron (as pictured, a juvenile), Great egrets, Purple Herons, Grey Herons. Also ducks and other waterbirds.

Travel Information

Be aware that just recently the community closed the Av. de les Flors nearby for cars. But you find free parking spots in the nearby village El Griells or even L'Estartit, there is a greenfield parking behind the Apartaments Brasil. From there it is 5-8 min walk to the new wildlife hide. All flat, works also for wheelchairs.
