Spain Roque del Moro

Roque del Moro is a rocky beach on the west coast of Fuerteventura, before Cofete. The big rock standing in the sea is the main subject, with the long sandy beach and mountains behind it.

Photography Tips

A 24-70mm lens works well for showing the rock, beach and coastline together. You can add a silhouette to give some scale. Aim for golden hour/blue hour, a cloudy day can give epic conditions.

Travel Information

From Puerto del Rosario, take the FV-2 south towards Morro Jable, then continue towards Cofete on the dirt road. After passing the mirador de Cofete, follow the track towards the beach and turn left on the first intersection. Follow from 1/2min (the road is rough but doable on a 2WD) and then park at the pin. From the parking area, it's a short walk down the beach.
