Spain Cathedral Santa Maria de la Huerta, Tarazona
The Cathedral of Santa María de la Huerta is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Tarazona, in the province of Zaragoza, Aragon, Spain. Construction began in the 12th century, and the Gothic church was completed and consecrated during the 13th century. The building is notable for its unusual location outside the medieval city walls and for its combination of French Gothic, Aragonese Mudéjar, Renaissance, and later Baroque architectural elements. Following extensive damage during the War of the Two Peters in the 14th century, the cathedral underwent major reconstruction, during which prominent Mudéjar features were added, including parts of the bell tower, cloister, and crossing tower.
