Calderón Hondo is one of the most beautiful craters in Fuerteventura. The crater is large and deep, with dark volcanic rock and red/brown slopes.

Check local drone regulations first. You might need to obtain a permit from the local authorities. Wind can be very strong here, so check the weather carefully before flying. Early morning is amazing to get soft light !

Travel Information

From Puerto del Rosario, take the FV-10 towards La Oliva, then continue towards Lajares. You can park at the GPS pin. Parking is free as of 2026.
