The top of Caldern Hondo gives a nice 360° view of Fuerteventura.
Photography Tips
Come during early morning to see the sunrise, it will give great soft light on the volcanoes and landscapes. I'd recommend bringing a telephoto lens to frame some details and a wide angle lens to get more panorama shots !
Travel Information
From Puerto del Rosario, take the FV-10 towards La Oliva, then continue on the FV-109 towards Lajares. Follow the signs for Calderon Hondo and park at the pin. From there, you can walk 45min to the top of the crater. The last part is a bit of loose rocks so wear sturdy shoes. You can also see little squirrels on the trial !
