Proserpina is an ancient dam built by the ancient Roman Empire. It has been exceptionally preserved until our time. Nowadays it is a recreation area for the inhabitants of the nearby city of Mérida, in Extremadura. You can swim in its waters, stroll along the paths that border it or just sit in one of the bars around it to admire beautiful sunsets.
