The bridge with its nine arches is a beautiful viaduct from the colonial era of Sri Lanka.

Photography Tips

Just go there and enjoy everything that is going on around the bridge. Be prepared, because when the train is coming you will only have a short time to make some pictures.

Travel Information

Take the 5 kilometer walk over the railway from Ella Railway to the Nine Arch Bridge. It is a great walk with lot of scenery and a great experience.
It can be very crowded at the bridge and the train wil go by only a couple of times during the day.
