Sweden Stegeborg, evening light over the Slätbaken
The Göta Canal ends at Mem and flows into the Slätbaken, a strait belonging to the Baltic Sea. In the small village of Stegeborg, there is the last opportunity to cross the strait. From the bridge to the small island, where the castle ruins stand and from which the ferry departs to the opposite shore, one has a good view of the strait.
Photography Tips
The strait runs from west to east. Atmospheric shots in the evening or morning hours are therefore best captured in autumn or spring.
Travel Information
The parking lot is located directly on the island. It’s about 50 m to the bridge.
