Switzerland Nadelwehr Lucerne
Be aware of many small flies at this spot in the early morning (at least when I visited in summer). Pretty annoying, but the location is worth stopping for a photo quickly! You can enjoy a great view over the Reuss River and its surrounding buildings.
Photography Tips
I prefer to come here during sunrise to have the sun rising over the horizon in the background and illuminating the whole scene. I used a 28-70mm lens to compress the background a bit but keep a wider look in the foreground.
Travel Information
It would be best to explore Lucerne on foot since driving or parking your car is tricky. Parking at the marked garage is relatively cheap for Swiss fees. It might be better to park outside the city and take the bus instead. All photogenic locations are close to each other. Therefore exploring the town on foot is the best!
