Lake Tomasee, the cradle of the mighty Rhine, lies at 2345m in the middle of a protected area. From the Oberalp Pass, a hike of about one and a half hours on marked paths leads to the lake below Piz Badus. It belongs to the Federal Inventory of Landscapes and Natural Monuments of National Importance and its water is of drinking water quality.
It is worth walking to the very back of the lake and enjoying the reflections.

Travel Information
Start of the hiking trail shortly before the Oberalp Pass. There is parking for about 10 cars. Otherwise drive up to the pass summit, there are enough parking spaces.
The Oberalppass is also very well accessible by public transport. The trip with the Rhätische Bahn to the pass is an experience in itself. Alternatively, the post bus can also be used.
