The landmark of the Albula line. This spectacular bridge is 65m high and was built in 1901/02. There are several viewpoints in the area. This one offers a classic view.

The platform is great, and also a handy place to launch the drone from. It is 20 mins up from the car park; not the same as the cafe area under the viaduct. Instead, follow path to the new Schmitten station platform and its just above and beyond on the right. This shot was obviously taken from the drone. Scheduled trains come from Tiefencastel direction about 3 mins before the hour, and from the Filisur direction (out of the tunnel) at 2 mins past. There are other trains at other times too. Glacier Express and Bernina Express are twice daily each way on published schedules.
