The spot is ideal for sunset and sunrise photographs.
Don't bring too much gear as you have to hike to the location. A wide angle lens and some filters should be enough (ok, maybe you want to bring your tele lens too).
Special advice: Go there on Mondays when the restaurant on top is closed which means less people. On days when the restaurant is open there can be quite a lot of people as the spot is well known to hikers.

Travel Information
The shortest way (to my knowledge) is to drive to the Steintal in Ebnat-Kappel (parking marked on the map) and hike from there. It takes approximately 1:45 to 2 hours to reach the top. The hiking trail is well marked so you shouldn't miss it.
