The Palpuogna lake is one of the clearest lakes in Switzerland. Surrounded by larches provides this lake especially in the fall, a top scene.

Photography Tips

Particularly in the early hours of the lake in autumn is usually a mirror. The larch trees are beginning to mid-October in the best warm tones.

Travel Information

If you drive to the Engadine, the Albula Pass is the perfect way to go to visit the lake. It should be noted that this pass is closed by the middle of November with the first snow until spring. Right by the lake there are a few parking spaces. It may be that all of them are already in use, then it is difficult to park the car. Therefore, I recommend to be there in the morning as early as possible.
