Zurich‘s Opera sticks out from the typical Zurich architecture around Sechseläutenplatz. The building replaced the old theater which burned down a few hundred meters away. The theater had originally been designed for Krakow. After the fire incident Zurich could win the Austrian architects to raise the project here.
