To the right of the "saddle" (Mutschensattel) you can reach a raised platform that also offers a view of the iconic mountain Säntis. Great at sunrise.

An all-rounder like a 24-70mm offers the most possibilities here. Sunrise offers a beautiful glow!

Travel Information

There are two ways to get to the spot. Either you take the cable car "Hoher Kasten Talstation" to the Hoher Kasten. Easy hike, approx. 10km and 580 metres in altitude to the spot. Alternatively, start at Pfannenstiel, steep ascent at the beginning, 9,8km easy distance and 860 metres in altitude. At the "Mutschensattel" turn right and after 15 minutes you get to the spot.
