Switzerland Gamidaurspitz, Pizol

As soon as the winter hits the Pizol mountains, right before the skiing season there is still the chance to hike parts of the 5 lakes. The Gamidaurspitz is a fantastic viewpoint overlooking the Rheintal in that area.

Photography Tips

Especially play with the snowy foreground and make it as soft as possible, using a wide open lens (f2.8 minimum). If you wanna create scale, place a person on top of the mountain and get a bit further away in order to create adventurous photos.

Travel Information

From the parking lot at the Wangs Talstation (cable car station in the valley) take up the cable car to Gaffia. From there, the hike starts and takes you around 400m in height uphill. It will take you around 1 hours and 20 minutes to reach that spot (snowy conditions - in summer its faster).
