Switzerland Lej da Champfèr

Lej da Champfèr is a serene alpine lake in the Engadin Valley, nestled between St. Moritz and Silvaplana. Its calm, turquoise waters reflect the surrounding peaks and dense forests, creating a perfect scene for landscape photography. In the early morning or late evening, the surface of the lake often turns into a mirror, capturing the dramatic light of the Engadin sky.

For the best results, visit at sunrise or sunset when the light is soft and warm. Use a polarizer to enhance reflections and reduce glare on the water. A wide-angle lens helps capture the full grandeur of the scene, while a telephoto can isolate the distant peaks for a more intimate composition.

The lake is easily accessible by car, with nearby parking and several walking paths along the shoreline. This spot is also a great starting point for hikes or mountain bike tours through the stunning Engadin landscape.
