This photo spot is perfect for anyone who enjoys leisurely hikes and trains. It offers a beautiful view of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, and every now and then a train passes right through the spot.
Photography Tips
Personally, I think a short long exposure works beautifully here, as it allows you to capture the movement of the train in a dynamic way. The spot also works well for short exposures or very long exposures.
Travel Information
The spot cannot be reached by car. I travelled there by train, but there are two ways to reach the spot: by the Grütschalp cable car (approximately 22 minutes of walking according to Google Maps), or by taking the cable car from Stechelberg to Mürren. From Mürren, you have to follow a hiking trail alongside the railway tracks (approximately 55 minutes according to Google Maps).
